dc.description.abstract | : Apocynaceae is a family of flowering plants that includes trees, shrubs, herbs, succulents and vines. The members of this family have wide variety of medicinal uses both traditionally and in conventional. The medicinal properties of the plants are due to the presence of alkaloids which is either indoline or steroidal. The anticancer bioactivities of Apocynaceae species are well known in barks and roots due to the accumulation of secondary phytocompounds, in turn lead the production of anticancer drugs in future. | en_US |
